Behran Oil Co. History
The company's activities began in 1962 under the license and technology of the American EXXON Company and under the trade name ESSO. With the establishment of a blending unit in 1964, it began producing ESSO oils inside Iran and continued its work under the name of Oil Production and Refining Company since 1966. The operation of the Behran Oil Company factory and refinery began under license number 15226 dated 03/20/1968 issued by the Ministry of Industries and Mines with the production of 30 thousand tons of oil per year, and in 1989 under license number 380336 dated 11/09/1989 of the Ministry of Industries, its production capacity reached 150 thousand tons of oil, 3 thousand tons of paraffin and 1500 tons of antifreeze. Behran Oil Company holds more than 53% of the market share of automotive lubricants and more than one-third of the market share of industrial oils. The company was also introduced as a model exporter of Tehran Province by the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade in 2013.
