Zagros Petrochemical Co. History
In line with the implementation of the country's third economic, social and cultural development plan and in order to reach global markets and gain a suitable share of the methanol market, Zagros Petrochemical Company was established in 1379. In order to empower the company to compete in global markets and also considering the existence of rich gas resources in the South Pars region and the strategic location of the region, a land area of 31 hectares in the South Pars Special Energy Zone was acquired and the company's production complex was built in the port of Asaluyeh. On the other hand, the complex has been designed in such a way that the maximum energy produced in the synthesis reactors as well as the recycled energy in the reforming unit is used to provide the required energy, and in this way, about 205 tons of steam per hour at a pressure of 40 bar is produced and sold.
