Absal Company was established in 1956 under the name of Iran Glaze Joint Stock Company with an initial capital of three million rials by the founders, Mr. Ali Gholi Hakimnejad and Akbar Haghshenas. In 1963, the company's name was changed to the new name Universal. The next name change of the company was in 1983, after which it was known as Absal. Absal Company became a member of the Bahador Stock Exchange of Iran in 1976 in accordance with the law on the expansion of ownership and with a capital of fifty million rials.
