Jam Petrochemical Company (Public Joint Stock Company) was registered in 1990 under the number 32285 in line with the country’s grand plans in the petrochemical industry to exploit the South Pars gas field. This huge industrial complex was built on a 77-hectare land in the South Pars Special Economic Zone in Assaluyeh, Bushehr Province. After a decade of its launch and with production units for olefins, heavy and light linear polyethylene, butadiene and butane 1, Jam Petrochemical Complex is still considered one of the largest producers of olefins in the world and polymer products in Iran. Jam is the most prominent production complex in the South Pars Special Economic Zone, producing and supplying various grades of petrochemical products in domestic and foreign markets and moving towards development and progress, and is considered one of the most important petrochemical industrial complexes in the economy.
